Welcome to Mom Approved Travel – a boutique Travel Agency specializing in Family Vacations.

Our Story:

In 2015, Mom Approved Travel was started by Christy Slavik to share her passion for Disney trip planning and assist overwhelmed Moms and Dads plan planning their vacations. Her approach was unique and she developed systems that focused on making trip planning processes with busy Moms and Dads in mind, to ensure Moms would get a vacation too, instead of stressing over all the details.

Since those early days, Mom Approved Travel has added hand-picked Travel Advisors to the Mom Approved Travel team who exude the same passion, expertise and no-nonsense approach to family travel planning Christy does.

Mom Approved Travel started exclusively focusing on Disney Destinations, but has since thoughtfully expanded into planning other family vacation destinations such as: Universal Resorts, most major cruise lines including Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Princess Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Lines, etc, most All-Inclusive Resorts including Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Excellence Resorts and more so that we could better serve our clients and their growing families!

What We Believe:

At Mom Approved Travel, one of our core beliefs are Moms should get a vacation too.

What this means is, Mom should actually enjoy going on vacation – she should not be stressing or spending her precious time worrying about which kid-friendly activities are in the Bahamas, how best to navigate Walt Disney World, spending hours researching all the packing things, or making sure she doesn’t miss important payment, activity or check-in deadlines. Mom can spend her time and energy elsewhere when she partners with Mom Approved Travel!

We are proud members in good standing with many professional travel industry associations. Mom Approved Travel and its Travel Advisors are required to meet high standards while adhering to a code of ethics to be accepted into these organizations.

American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA)
ASTA is the world’s largest and most influential travel trade association. It’s mission is to enhance the professionalism of members worldwide through effective representation in travel industry and government affairs, professional education and training, and by identifying, meeting and advocating for the needs of the traveling public. ASTA requires members to adhere to a strict code of ethics.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA)
CLIA is the official trade organization of the cruise industry, and works in partnership with affiliated travel agencies throughout North America to ensure the highest caliber of cruise sales expertise and service for cruise vacationers.

The Travel Institute
Since 1964, The Travel Institute has served as a community of knowledge and insight for all travel professionals. Through innovative education programs, professional certifications and customized learning solutions, the Travel Institute fulfills its non-profit mission to promote a standard of industry knowledge and excellence. It’s programs include the renowned Certified Travel Associate (CTA) certification programs of which some MAT Advisors are graduates.

Certified Autism Travel Professional (CATP)
For over 20 years the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards has been the industry leader in cognitive disorder training and certification for education, healthcare, corporate and travel & entertainment professionals around the globe and provides provides evidence-based training and certification programs created in conjunction with its board of clinical and subject matter experts and autistic individuals to provide professionals with a better understanding of autism and other neurodivergencies. It’s programs includes the Certified Autism Travel Professional™ (CATP) which some MAT Advisors are certified.
