Disney Magic Kids Clubs & Youth Program

Slinky Dog slide inside the DCL Magic kids club

No one does Kids Clubs like Disney Cruise Line!

The Disney Magic – Kids Club & Youth Program Overview

We have warned you, your kids will NEVER want to leave the ship because Disney truly is the absolute best cruise line for kids. Our favorite part about bringing the kids on a Disney cruise, Oceaneer Club, Oceaneer Lab, Vibe and Edge are included in your cruise fare!

Oceaneer Club (3-12) complimentary

The Library Hub: The library acts as a hub to 4 different lands to explore and play. In the library, kids can watch favorite Disney movies on a huge plasma screen, enjoy an engaging story time and receive special visits from favorite Disney Character friends.

  • Andy’s Room – Larger than life, colorful and fun Toy Story themed play area featuring a large Slinky-dog slide. The kids should sleep well after their time here!
  • Marvel Super Hero Academya top-secret command post of S.H.I.E.L.D. where the kids will enjoy arts and crafts, play video games and meet some of their favorite Marvel heroes during “surprise” visits. You might meet Thor as he shows you what it takes to become part of the next generation of heroes!
  • Disney Junior Play Area – Hot Dog! Your kiddos will play games, puzzle, engage with characters like Mickey Mouse and more!
  • Pixie Hollow – This highly themed area is a fun area to play dress-up, work on craft projects, listen to stories and more!

Oceaneer Lab (3-12) complimentary

With so many activities to choose from, your kiddo will find something fun going on in the Oceaneer Lab- they could be making race cars out of soap for the Piston Cup Challenge or making chocolate chip cookies during Anyone Can Cook!

  • Animator’s Studio: Your kiddos will have an opportunity to create art and learn to sketch their favorite Disney characters!
  • Captain’s Workshop: Here they can relax a bit and watch Disney movies or play video games in the pirate themed spacious play area or participate in one of the hosted group activities.
  • Craft Studio: Crafting is king as at this hands-on, arts-and-crafts studio.
  • The Wheelhouse: Cruise Navigation simulators allow captains-in-training to steer their very own Disney ship through the Caribbean Sea.

Edge (11-14) complimentary

Tweens have their very own space to chill and have fun on the Disney Magic filled with activities, tv, video games and a tween-focused space designed to look like an old boiler room for the cool factor.

With electronics, a dance floor, tables and video gaming stations, there are plenty of ways to chill with fellow tweens while enjoying music, arts and crafts, karaoke, scavenger hunts, selfie walls, and themed nights of fun!

Vibe (14-17) complimentary

Teens get their very own space to call their own, designed with teenagers interests in mind. They can engage, hang or chill while mingling or doing their thing while chaperoned by counselors who are “cool” enough to be fun.

Located inside the ship’s funnel, the open floor plan allows teen to enjoy the coffee bar, smoothies, listen to music, engage during fun video and virtual-reality game session, join in dance parties, karaoke competitions and play non-lame games.

Nursery (under 3) fee required

Even the tiniest guests have an option to play in a colorful, fun childcare center while you enjoy time with the older kiddos or date night!

Note: It’s a Small World Nursery DOES have an additional cost, and we do suggest making reservations as capacity is limited. Reservations can be made on a first-come, first-served basis during open house on your cruise Embarkation Day or anytime throughout your sailing.

Disney Magic Dining Options

Dinner and a show at Rapunzel’s Royal Table, one of the 3 rotational dining meals on the DCL Magic

Dining onboard the Disney Magic

You really will need to pack your stretchy pants, because no matter what you are craving, no matter what mood you are in, or what time of day it is, the Disney Magic has something delicious to eat!

A Rotational Dining experience only Disney Cruise can do

One of the other areas where Disney Cruise line stands out is with the rotational dining options onboard, which is equivalent to a Dining Room experience on other cruise lines. But trust us, this experience is unlike ANY OTHER cruise line out there. Each ship has 3 themed dining venues on board, each offer a wide variety of options for every taste. Even the pickiest of kiddos will not go away hungry, promise!

  • Rapunzel’s Royal Table – one of our favorite Disney Cruise Line dining experiences, as the theme and Royal Ballroom decor is truly incredible. You will celebrate Rapunzel’s birthday with live entertainment with singing, dancing and a parade with musicians, Flynn Rider, Snuggly Duckling Thugs and of course, Princess Rapunzel.
  • Animators Palate – a truly distinctively Disney experience loved by all ages serving a fusion of Pacific Island foods, Asian cooking and Southern California fusion deliciousness – with options for the pickiest of eaters!  Here you will celebrate the process of animation and if you are on a 7 night or longer sailing on the magic, there is a little Animation Magic surprise in store for you!
  • Lumiere’s  – another MAT favorite, Lumiere’s has a 4 course contemporary French dinner everyone will love and the beautiful dining room with have you feeling you absolutely can Be a Guest! Lumiere’s is also open for lunch and breakfast if you prefer to have a seated option over the Cabanas buffet or the grab and go options.

Our favorite part about Disney rotational dining is your servers move WITH you. Brace yourself for unmatched service. They get to know your kids and their preferences. We promise, these Cast Members will be one of your kid’s favorite parts of their sailing and they will be talking about their server long after you return home.

Disney Magic Casual and Grab and Go Dining options

Looking for something quick so you and the family can hop back into the pool? No worries! Cabanas – a casual buffet will have tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings with plenty of tasty dessert bites!

There are plenty of other grab and go options on the ship, and the themes vary but fun options like:

  • Pinocchio’s Pizzeria
  • Duck-in Diner
  • Daisy’s De-lights
  • Eye Scream Treats
  • Frozone Treats
  • Preludes

Adult Only Dining on the Disney Magic

Disney offers an Adult only dining option on the Disney Magic, perfect for date night or or brunch! Palo the adult-exclusive restaurant serves fine dining Italian cuisine deliciousness with thoughtful wine pairings and the legendary Palo chocolate soufflé.  It is incredibly yummy!

Dining at Palo does require a reservation and is not included in your cruise fare, and subject to an additional charge; but your Mom Approved Travel Advisor can assist you in deciding if this something you would find valuable to splurge for.

24 Hour Room Service on the Disney Magic

Unlike other cruise lines, in-room dining is complementary (though a few select snacks and adulty beverages do have an additional cost). Lunch and dinner options like burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and grilled options are available all day, except during breakfast hours, where a continental breakfast is served.

Snacks are the BEST part about Disney Cruise in-room dining! Milk and cookies before bed? Mickey bar at midnight? Your dreams will come true!

Disney Magic Pools and Water Playareas

Plenty of ways to cool off and splash around on the Disney Magic

There are plenty of ways to enjoy pool time on the Disney Magic in pools, slide and water play areas.

  • Aqualab – an 1800 square foot splash zone for guests over 3 years old located on Deck 9 overflowing with pop jets, geysers, bubblers, a freshwater pool, and plenty of interactive elements that affect the flow of water.
This area also features a 250′ Twist ‘n’ Spout waterslide for guests over 38″ tall.
  • Goofy’s Pool – the main pool area onboard is a a 4-foot-deep, family pool with a fun portrait of Goofy on the pool bottom and 2 whirlpool spas for potty trained guests over 3 years old.
