Our Travel Agency home office is also based Texas too, so on December 1, 2023 when we heard Universal was coming to our home state, we let out a BIG Texas yee-haw! This project will be a little different than Universal Orlando or Hollywood, as it will be a one-of-a kind concept focused on families with young kiddos.
While this project will be a little different, how we help our MAT client families will not be! What Universal Kids Resort is: Universal Kids Resort will include a theme park featuring immersive themed lands that celebrate our iconic brand of entertainment, humor and fun – bringing to life beloved characters and stories in ways that will wow the youngest theme park goers.
Location: In Frisco, Texas South of the PGA Golf club and near UNT Frisco off of Panther Creek Parkway.
Universal Kids Resort Opening Date: to be announced, however construction permits note May of 2026. Texas weather and construction delays may affect this date, so we will wait until we get closer to put that date in pen on our calendars! Opening just before summer would be ideal for success though!

- The resort area for Universal Kids Park will encompass 97 acres of property, 37.8 acres of which are proposed to be theme park.
- In comparison, Universal Orlando Resort is 707 acres, with 244.8 acres of theme parks.

- The resort area for Universal Kids Park will have 4,348 proposed parking spaces.
- In comparison, Universal Orlando Resort has 32,929 parking spaces

Booking your Universal vacation package with a Mom Approved Travel Advisor is complimentary for most vacation packages. There are some circumstances, such as a ticket only purchase, we may charge a service fee which will be disclosed upfront. There are no hidden fees working with Mom Approved Travel.
If you have already booked your Universal trip with Universal, depending on the circumstances we MAY be able to transfer it to the agency to allow your Advisor to assist without a fee.
If we are unable to transfer a vacation package or if you are staying offsite and already have tickets, we do offer a concierge planning option based on your needs.

Sometimes promotions do not apply to all dates, room types or are released on the same date as a price increase.
